Bull Moose

Postcard 12: Bull Moose

A bull moose, with antlers as wide as six feet, can move quickly and quietly for an animal that can weigh as much as 1500 (550 kg) pounds. He is dangerous during rutting season but otherwise gentle as he wanders about his territory eating, sleeping and taking frequent baths in the lake. As gangly as moose may appear, they are also graceful and fascinating to watch.
