As I stood watching this glacial stream I felt calmed and nourished. I looked up at the verdant Great Bear Rainforest that surrounded me and realized why water was the symbol for life. Rivers are considered sacred by many on this planet, indeed, it is the universal thread that binds all humanity. It was this connectedness and the transcendent beauty of that moment that I tried to capture as a photographer.
