Ancient Forest

In the heart of the Robson Valley, east of Prince George, is the Ancient Forest; a tiny part of the world’s only non-coastal temperate rainforest which grows seven hundred kilometres inland from the rainforests of British Columbia’s Central Coast. Some of the western redcedar trees are five metres in diameter; that’s nearly sixteen metres around, and approximately 1500 years of age. To walk in this forest can be mesmerizing.
