In the lower Mitchell River Delta, evening light began filtering through the building clouds. Early snow storms were coming to the wetlands. Soon, the river would freeze and the rainforest would be covered in a thick blanket of snow. Another seasonal cycle would feed the forest and the river with water. The salmon would return and the grizzlies would feed. There was time for one final cast.
